Our Main company – Horizons Residential Care Ltd started operation in Edinburgh in 2013 and since then have given young people a safe and nurturing environment for which they thrive in.

We pride ourselves in operating a bespoke residential childcare service providing close support with an experienced staff team ratio of 1:1 as standard to young people with complex social, emotional and behavioural needs. We have spent time creating positive, caring environments promoting nurture, growth and achievement of young people and staff alike. Our staff teams are competent and confident in delivering care which aims to meet and exceed the National Care Standards. We understand that to achieve the SHANARRI based outcomes and make a real positive impact on the future of our young people, a 1:1 staff ratio is fundamental to ensure the needs of every individual are met. Our trauma-informed approach allows the care team to develop a bespoke care plan to meet the needs of the young person.
